Review of BBC coverage of European Union

The BBC Governors have a particular responsibility for ensuring the BBC is impartial. From time to time they commission impartiality reviews of particular topics in the news. This report looked at the BBC's coverage of the European Union. It is the first review to be conducted entirely outside of the management chain.

The Board of Governors published the report of the Independent Panel, led by Lord Wilson of Dinton, along with supporting material, in January 2005. BBC Management's response was published in May 2005 along with a statement from the Board.
